Body work can look very different to everyone this is why I’ll be pulling from everything you see below to help you get where want to be.

Swedish/Traditional Massage Techniques

These are the techniques that help me warm the tissue to get it ready to be worked on. Along with palpation, these techniques help me locate the areas of the most dysfunction. From here we move to other techniques to get the tissue where we want it to be.

Deep tissue techniques

Deep tissue has a wide range of what that looks like and feels like. To me my deep tissue techniques are designed to break up adhesions in the tissue, lengthen the muscles, and aid the tissue in recovery/repair. This can comes with added pressure and can lead to discomfort. My goal is to appropriately navigate our way through this discomfort to allow the tissue to release.

Myofascial Manipulation

Muscles aren’t the only things that are important. Our body has a huge system that hold everything together and helps it move effortlessly and that’s our connective tissue. You would prefer ideal conditions to workout in, why wouldn’t our muscles? This is why I always take a few moments to address this type of tissue too.
